ABOUT WILL STEPHENS

Throughout the course of their musical career, Will Stephens has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at countless venues, making dozens of appearances, all the while recording new singles EPs and albums for many different acts. Will has toured across Australia and is preparing for his New Zealand debut late this year with his band 'Sound'.

Teaching Career  

Will has been teaching drums for five years both through his own home studio 'Sticked Music Studios' and also through Phoenix P-12 Community College. Will has also done stomp type workshops at a number of schools where he show primary students how to drum without a drum kit. Over the last five years Will teaches and has taught many students both the beginnings of drumming all the way up to the advanced intricacies and also teaches a wide rang of drumming styles.

Performing Career 

Besides performing with his band 'Sound' the drummer has worked with bands and performers 'Winter Valley' 'Fair Well Rocket ship' 'Tom Ballinger' 'Sam Harbridge' as well as other ensemble and studio based projects. 

Will is also a nationally recognised busker. Will frequently busks around Victoria and last year won the Victorian Busking Championship where he traveled around Queensland and New South Whales to win third place ni the Australian National Busking Championship Finals.

•  Winning the Victorian Busking Championship.

• Taking third place in the Australian National Busking Championship.      ​​

• Starting Sticked Music Studios.

• Winning Mi Sound Championship. 

• Performing at dozens of venues around Victoria.

• Australian tour with 'Sound'. 

• Receiving a scholarship for a bachelor in contemporary music performance at JMC Academy.
